Aji Lemon Drop (Capsicum baccatum)

Also know as Aji Lemon and Hot Lemon Drop. It has a heat level much lower than average Habanero peppers but is still hot. The Aji Lemon Drop chile has a nice citrus flavor and is used in seasonings and sauces in traditional Peru cooking. In Peru the aji Lemon Drop is also called Kellu Uchu. The Lemon Drop peppers ripen from green to bright yellow and look like tiny bananas. Plants can grow to about 3 feet tall and are very productive.

At Refining Fire Chiles we isolate our seed production plants to avoid cross-pollination with other chile species. If you want to try it yourself contact us for seeds, plants (March-August) and fresh chiles (September).

We also grow the Trinidad 7 Pot, Trinidad Scorpion, Naga Morich, Chocolate Habanero and many other Hot Chile Pepper plant varieties!
